Use your RoutCad de Luxe for CNC Mill software in 4 easy steps.



Use the CAD to draw your part or import a .dxf file.

The CAD portion of the program has all the required functionality to draw and modified your part.

You can create complex drawing by combining 4 basic objects ; LINE, ARC, PARABOLA, and POINT.

Each object can be created by entering coordinate or by using the snap.

You can merge pre-defined library parts or create your own library of parts.

You can also import a .dxf file and modified. In addition, you can use the wizard to create more complex objects.



Define your machining sequence and the order in which the elements are machined.

Once your drawing is ready; the next step is to define what element will be machined and in what order.

The sequence of elements to be machined is the routing.

To take into account the milling tool diameter; you use the automatic offset. Afterward you select the element and direction it will be machined. You can select one element at the time, or all the elements within a window.

The wizard can be used to create more complex routing. It allows to make : pocket, hole, donut, tab, and zig-zag zone.



Select the cnc controller for which you want to generate the g-code.

After your machining sequence has been defined; your project is ready to be made by a cnc machine. You easily select the cnc machine of your choice in the "Quick Setting" of the configuration panel. The g-code options are unique to each cnc machine. The "Quick Setting" allows to the following cnc machine : RoutBot CNC, Mach 3, Mach 4,EMC2 Linux, Elu 860, MAXNC, Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Torch Mate, FlashCut CNC, Desk CNC, Turbo CNC, USB CNC, Proto Track.



Export the g-code.

The last step is to export the g-code. After you select export the g-code, a g-code file is generated for the cnc controller that you have previously selected. The g-code options of the configuration panel can be saved, so that you don't need to change these options, when you stay with the same cnc controller.
